There is only two chapters left to edit in Fate's Revenge! What do you think about July 15, 2018, as a pre-order date?? :) Let me know!
I can't say how excited I am to FINALLY talk about official dates for this book's release and I hope everyone who fell in love with Alyssa and David are still ready to pick up where they left off. There are only a few chapters to finish writing in Fate's Escape and then the final two books will have pre-release dates, as well. I can't wait to share the end of this wonderful world. Cheers! Sasha Sather I really want to thank everyone for being so patient. I am ALMOST done with editing Fate's Revenge. It is so hard to dedicate the time to doing this as I am immersing myself back into the writing community - there are so many authors I haven't talked to in ages, not to mention all of the new and exciting books that I have missed out on over the last few years! It's hard to dedicate myself to just one task. I want to read, edit, promote, search the web... it's endless, really.
I will keep this short and to the point, but I am back at in the writing game, and it feels great. I tried over the last three years to get into Twisted Fate, but unfortunately for everyone who's been waiting for Fate's Revenge to come out, I was whacked upside the head with life. First, I put aside everything and started a new job. Within this post, I worked hard to obtain my CAIB designation, which I was able to obtain in just eight-and-a-half months while this usually takes two years for all four exams. Not only did I finish quicker than most, I earned the top mark for 2017 within my region, and I find out this month (hopefully) if I have earned the top Canadian mark for 2017.
That is the fun stuff. Unfortunately, it hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows. In January of 2015, I moved across provinces to continue work as a claims adjuster; however, in October of 2015, everyone within my division was laid off. At that point, I didn't know if I should move back or stay, and what I should do if I did stay as I didn't think I really wanted to continue as an adjuster due to the long hours and the stress related to the job. My daughter was doing fantastic in the new school system, but I didn't want to take the time away from her on evenings and weekends, so I went and wrote the exam for a general insurance license, and a week later I obtained my level two general insurance license. At this point, I started to work as an agent for a direct writer, but again I did not enjoy this. So I moved to a brokerage . . . It has been a lot of work, learning the different aspects of the new role and increasing my education, but I feel like I finally know what it is I like to do with my days, and it leaves time on evenings and weekends for not only my daughter (who is now nine-years-old!), but for writing. Again, this was sidelined, though. In the summer of 2016 my grandfather passed away and then in April of 2017, my father passed away during the time that my daughter and I were moving to be closer to my job yet again. To say that I tried to fill my time with anything but thinking would be an understatement. Now, within the past few months, my mum has been getting worse and worse. We travelled home for Christmas and she seemed to be in great spirits, but the medication she was on made her quite . . . loopy is the only word that comes to mind. We spent two weeks and finally it was time to come home. A few weeks later, we had to go back as she was hospitalized and a lot of scary diagnoses were made. That said, she is home again and tests are continuing, and there is nothing to do but wait - hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Cliché, I know, but it is true nonetheless. So while we were home and spending hours in the hospital, I started to reread the books in the Twisted Fate series. Not only did I remember what I loved about the story, I remembered how lost I became in my writing, and how much that can help during trying times. For anyone that has been waiting for the next installment, I apologize for the delay. I hope you can bear with me a little longer while I become reacquainted with the world of writing, and I promise that Fate's Revenge is soon to come. Cheers! Sasha Leigh I can't believe Fate's Escape is going to mark the end of writing the Twisted Fate Series. It'll be months before anyone gets to read it, but I have just started on chapter three - it's addicting. It's like a series I pick up and can't put down until the end of the final book (don't you love when you discover a series AFTER the books have all been written??). I know I should be editing Fate's Revenge for those who want the next installment, but I can't stop writing. Perhaps it was the lull due to moving, but my head is FULL of conversations and settings dying to be released. And not just for Twisted Fate, but Cast From Power and a brand new series, too.
It's a little daunting, thinking about what I want to do, but the outlining is well underway. Fate's Revenge will be coming soon. At first, I imagined February or March; however, it may pass over into April. But as soon as that is ready, I will start working on editing Disguise and Escape . . . and then writing the spin-off series. It's gearing up to be a busy, busy time, and I am loving it. Cheers! Sasha Leigh The third installment in Twisted Fate, Fate's Demand, is being released on December 15, 2014 - just in time for Christmas! However, this is the only announcement as I am busy, busy this month with the holidays and relocating for my day job. But for all of you who have been waiting, mark the day. Check for more updates in the new year. Fate's Revenge, the fourth book in the series, will be released February or March 2015. Once we are settled and the holidays have passed, I will update the site with a firm publication date. Merry Christmas!
Sasha Leigh So Pulled Away is now available for purchase on Amazon and Smashwords. I had a bit of a "Pre-Order Fiasco" with it, but that was all sorted out quickly, and only delayed the release by a few hours. However, now it's onto Fate's Return, scheduled for release on October 27, 2014! Pre-orders for this book can be made through Amazon, and will be set up with Smashwords shortly.
I have been so immersed in Twisted Fate lately, editing and promoting, that I had to start writing Fate's Disguise (Book Five). I couldn't sleep! Every time I laid my head down, a new idea would pop up. It got to the point where my light was flickering on and off like a child who has just discovered the light switch I was scribbling ideas on so many stickies. Finally, I just used my voice app on my phone since I don't need the lights for that.
It was odd, though. I made the decision to stop writing longhand so that I could cut out the process of having to type up what I'd written after the fact, and the moment I pulled open a new document . . . I drew a blank. All those stickies and carefully laid outline sitting in my head did me no good, so I picked up a pen and opened up a new notebook . . . two chapters came out! Crazy, right? I wasn't having this problem with Casting Light, the third book in the Cast From Power series. But since this is the second-to-last installment, I figure, "Why mess with what's working?" So now, in between editing and learning the ropes of marketing, I will be writing . . . and typing :( But it's better than having writer's block :) Sasha Leigh Before publishing Fate's Exchange, I answered this question to one woman and a view critique sites. Now, however, people are asking me, "What Comes Next?" Well, to answer your questions, Fate's Return will be published in late October (approx. October 27, 2014). Pre orders will be live at the end of September. Fate's Demand, the third book in the series, will be released sometime in December, just in time for Christmas! But, like many other people, I can't wait - October is two whole months away! So this past weekend, I revamped the novella I wrote, Pulled Away, and will be publishing that as Book 1.5 prior to the release of the second novel in October as soon as it comes back from readers, I complete my final read through, and format it for release. That said, it is now available for pre-order for only $0.99 from now until September 19, 2014, which is the day it will go live for readers to purchase! Lastly, Book One is being reformatted for print! In a few weeks. I will be able to hold a copy of my own novel, and I could not be more excited! Thank you to everyone who downloaded or purchased my debut, and for all the wonderful reviews since. Sasha Leigh This last week has been exciting, but hectic. I published my first novel, Fate's Exchange, a day early (by accident), and then had to rush to implement the final changes that were necessary before anyone purchased it. Then I decided to use the five days from KDP Select to promote it free for the entire work week.
In theory, the idea was great, though next time I won't be promoting a novel during the week invoicing is completed at work. 695 copies of Fate's Exchange were downloaded between Monday, August 25, 2014, and Friday, August 29, 1014, and 8 were downloaded Saturday, August 30, 2014, before the promotion ended. Excluding Saturday, that's an average of 139 downloads PER DAY! Not bad for a debut author learning the ropes of marketing, and I even received four reviews, leaving Fate's Exchange with a current star-ranking of 4.5! During the week, I discovered how to make a review request, create promotional poster images, utilize social media to gain exposure, and became listed on numerous sites, both as an author and for the book itself. If anyone would like to see these listings and interviews, visit Twisted Fate Series on Facebook and the links will be there. By far, this was my favorite: http://www.amazon.com/Fates-Exchange-Twisted-Fate-Book-ebook/dp/B00MX6VIP0/ref=la_B00MXBDU9C_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1409503056&sr=1-1 Thank you everyone for your support!
